Tokyo, Nov 1, 2005 (JCN) - sanoif-aventis Japan announced on October 31 that the legal merger of Sanofi-Synthelabo and Aventis Pharma Japan was officially approved by the two companies.
Accordingly, the new company, sanofi-aventis K.K., will be formally inaugurated as of January 1, 2006. With this move, the sanofi-aventis Group will go on offensive in Japan, the world's second largest pharmaceutical market.
