Toshiba Medical Systems Releases Automated Clinical Chemistry Analyzer for Large Hospitals
 

Tokyo, Jan 31, 2006 (JCN) - Toshiba Medical Systems has begun marketing the TBA c-16000, its latest automated clinical chemistry analyzer model designed for large hospitals and inspection centers.

The new product, which adopts chemiluminescent immunoassay, can seamlessly conduct biochemical and immune serum inspections.

A standard unit sells for 66,150,000 yen ($565,000). The company plans to ship 70 units in the first year.

Toshiba Medical Systems currently markets the ARCHITECT c8000, an automated clinical chemistry analyzer for mid-scale hospitals. With the new product launched, the company aims to acquire more than a 40% share of the domestic biochemical analyzer market in fiscal 2007.
