Hitachi's Humanoid Robot EMIEW to Appear in Show at Sheraton Grande
 

Tokyo, Feb 24, 2006 (JCN) - Hitachi and Hitachi Building Systems jointly announced on February 23 that they will organize an event for children, in which Hitachi's proprietary humanoid robot EMIEW will make an appearance, in collaboration with the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel.

Costarring with the Hotel's official mascot Penton, EMIEW will demonstrate its abilities in speech synthesis, voice recognition, and autonomous moving.

The event will show that EMIEW will learn proper wording and behavior as a hotel clerk from Penton. The event will be held from March 6 through 12.
