Seoul, Mar 12, 2009 - (ACN Newswire) - d'strict Holdings, Inc., a Seoul-based user-experience (UX) design consulting company, has partnered with the Louis Quatorze fashion brand to launch Korea's first digital fashion store with 'Surface', the Microsoft multi-touch surface display. The new fashion application is available for clients in the Louis Quatorze boutique of the Hyundai Department Store in Sinchon, downtown Seoul.
While leading companies including BMW, AT&T, Barclays Bank, Sheraton Hotel and others have adopted Microsoft Surface digital technology in their operations, Louis Quatorze has integrated the multi touch surface technology, which allows users to interact with their hands and gestures rather than a mouse and keyboard to provide an innovative customer experience, for the first time in the fashion industry.
"The launch of a digital fashion store by Louis Quatorze is an innovative example of the convergence between IT technology and fashion that foretells how the daily life of users changes," says Choi Eun-seok, the President of dstrict. "Based on a variety of platforms such as offline stores, Web and mobile, dstrict will continue providing 'innovative user experience' services that can create new consumption patterns and basically change daily life." In an interactive digital catalogue fusing 'Surface' technology with d'strict UX concept and design, Louis Quatorze clients can now access products in the spring/summer season campaign with advanced tag cards. When one's hand touches the screen, images of various Louis Quatorze products, such as handbags and wallets, move about as your hand moves. The experience allows customers to vividly feel the 'Day Dream', the concept of Louis Quatorze's 2009 spring/summer season campaign, in 3D hologram images.
By combining its innovative user design consulting with various technologies, including 3D sensor, transparent display and infrared ray sensor, d'strict Holdings will continue to provide new concepts in customer service to additional Louis Quatorze boutiques and other leading companies in Korea and abroad, leveraging purchase patterns and customer propensities.
