Now Inviting Exhibitors for JETRO ZONE at FOODEX JAPAN 2010

Tokyo, June 9, 2009 - (JCN Newswire) - JETRO is now inviting applications for participation in the JETRO Zone at FOODEX JAPAN 2010 (March 2nd-5th, 2010), Asia's largest annual food exhibition held since 1976. Application is open to food and beverage firms from developing economies interested in introducing their products to the Japan market. Exhibitors in the JETRO Zone can benefit from reduced participation fees, consultation with Japan market experts as well as other support and services. Don't miss this valuable opportunity to exhibit your products at this popular fair, which receives on average 80,000 visitors. See below for additional details and participation requirements.

FOODEX JAPAN outline
Date: March 2 (Tue) - 5 (Fri), 2010
Venue: Makuhari Messe, Chiba City
Visitors: 78,538 (in 2009)
Exhibitors: 2,400 (in 2009)
Organizers: Japan Management Association and five other associations

JETRO Zone outline
Exhibition scale: 60 booths (50 exhibitor booths and 10 JETRO booths)
-Participation fee (including bank transfer charges): US$1,025 (US$525 for companies from LDCs)
-(Normal participation fee for a packaged booth stand in FOODEX JAPAN: approx. US$5,770.)

Qualifications for exhibitors
-Must be food and beverage manufacturer or exporter
-Must be from developing countries listed in the DAC list of official development assistance recipients
-Must not already have sole agent in Japan (for products to be exhibited at FOODEX). For a full description of qualifications, please refer to the JETRO Zone Rules and Regulations (below).

How to apply
Carefully read and agree to the Rules and Regulations (see below) of the JETRO Zone. After you have completed the application form (also below), submit it together with two copies of product catalogues to your nearest JETRO office.
