NTT America Silver Sponsor of Telx CBX 2009 - JCN Newswire
NTT America Silver Sponsor of Telx CBX 2009

New York, June 24, 2009 - (JCN Newswire) - NTT America, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) and a Tier-1 global IP network services provider, today announced that the company will serve as a silver level sponsor of Telx CBX (Customer Business Exchange), on Thursday, June 25, at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City. Hosted by Telx, a leading provider of network-neutral colocation and interconnection services, sponsors of the one-day event are partners and/or customers within Telxfs Meet Me Room Xchange Centers. The event is an opportunity for thousands of Telx customers and partners to gather to network and do business with one another.

NTT Americafs Tier-1 Global IP Network (GIN) is available to existing Telx customers through two New York City facilities: Telxfs flagship interconnection facility at 60 Hudson Street in New York, which is recognized as one of the most important carrier hotels in the world, where over 100 telecommunications companies can interchange Internet traffic through Telxfs meet-me-room individual fiber optic lines; and 111 Eighth Avenue, a premier North American carrier hotel that is home to over 40 of the leading domestic and international carriers. High speed, high reliability and sufficient routes characterize NTT Americafs Global IP Network, which, in April 2009, logged the fastest bandwidth currently available, 210 Gigabits per Second (Gbps), on the transpacific portion of the network, maintains industry-leading SLAs (service level agreements) and offers direct connection to major ISPs in Asia, the United States and Europe. gTelx CBX is an ideal event for us as hundreds of C-level and other senior-level executives representing companies from around the world attend the event to explore new business opportunities to extend their networks and add new services,h said Jason Crummett, regional vice president of sales, NTT America. gAs a Telx facility customer, we have the opportunity to provide access to our Tier-1 ISP network, which is distinguished by peering relationships, a single ASN (2914) and support from Global NOCs (network operations centers), with other customers.h

Telx CBX is one of the largest annual colocation and interconnection networking events. The goal of the event is to facilitate business relationships and deals that generate new interconnections among the global networks, enterprises, and technology companies that reside within any of Telxfs 15 facilities.

The seventh annual invitation‐only event is unique in that all of the network operators that are exhibitors and sponsors have direct capacity available to deliver from a Telx facility.

NTT Americafs Global IP Network offers Telx customers IP Transit bandwidth from 10mbps to 10Gbps over both the current Internet protocol (IPv4) and the next generation Internet protocol (IPv6). As a Tier-1 ISP, NTT America has private peering with all other Tier-1 providers, does not acquire transit from any third party, and exchanges traffic with other Tier-1 ISPfs free of charge (Settlement Free Peering). In addition, the NTT America GIN has over 1tbps of peering capacity globally. NTT Americafs Global IP Networkfs global single ASN 2914 allows ubiquitous route view to customers globally, ensures routes announced to a multiple region customer remain consistent, provides consistent global operations and best practices, and allows global use of MPLS-TE. In addition, all of NTT Americafs Global IP Network U.S. support calls are answered by an engineer at the Dallas, Texas NOC ensuring top quality engineering support.
