Niigata, Japan, Sept 8, 2009 - (JCN Newswire) - Public Management and Policy Analysis Program (PMPP), a new MA program, will be offered by the Graduate School of International Relations (GSIR) at the International University of Japan (IUJ). This course, closely linked with the GSIR's International Development Program, will start in the academic year 2010/11 and has started inviting applications on September 7, 2009. PMPP is a two-year program, and an MA degree in Public Management will be awarded upon completion.
This program is designed to prepare the next generation of leaders in public sectors by providing students with a conceptual framework and practical skills that are necessary to succeed in public administration and management.
By combining rigorous training in analytical, quantitative, and qualitative methods, the multi-disciplinary nature of this program is aimed at students attaining sound knowledge and understanding of key concepts, issues, ideas, and theories in economics and management, with an emphasis on public management and policy analysis.
Furthermore, this program encompasses a wide choice of other courses, such as political science, development, law, international relations, and public administration, in order to equip students with a solid foundation for further study of employment in not only government management, but also in non-governmental organizations, international agencies, and public enterprises.
