Tokyo, Oct 5, 2009 (JCN) - Brother Industries announced that it has signed a basic agreement to acquire all shares of BMB Corp from USEN. The price of the transaction was not disclosed.
A Brother subsidiary, XING Inc., runs on-line karaoke business under the 'JOYSOUND' brand, and Brother has been developing a new business field, Network & Content business, based on the operating bases and contents of XING.
Brother hopes by adding BMB into the group and integrating its operations with XING in sales, product development, and other fields, it can establish a strong position in the karaoke market, and the expansion of customer bases will contribute to the group as a whole.
