Daikin Wins Energy Award for Infrared Reflective Coating at Lloyd's List Global Awards 2009
Tokyo, Oct 6, 2009 (JCN) - Daikin Industries won the Energy Award given at the Lloyd's List Global Awards 2009 ceremony held in London on September 8 for ZEFFLE Infrared Reflective Coating.
ZEFFLE Infrared Reflective coating construction applies a fluoropolymer-based coating to such surfaces as building roofs and ship decks to curb the rise of interior temperatures by reflecting sunlight. As a result, the coating reduces air conditioning load and adds to greater energy savings.
Additionally, it contributes to a reduction in emissions of volatile compounds through the application of a chemical tank. Fluorochemical coating such as ZEFFLE shows corrosion and weather resistance and the reflective effect lasts for a long period of time and minimizes the number of coating applications.
Lloyd's List is one of the largest and most prestigious shipping journals. It holds an annual awards ceremony to honor companies and individuals in 22 categories for achievements in the maritime field.
