Tokyo, Mar 16, 2012 - (JCN Newswire) - Showa Denko K.K. (SDK) has decided to increase its chloroprene rubber price in markets outside Japan as from shipments on April 1, 2012.
Specifically, the price will be increased by US$500/m.t. or more for US-dollar-based transactions, or by EU380/m.t. or more for euro-based transactions.
At present, SDK's chloroprene rubber price does not fully reflect the increases in raw material costs. Thus, SDK has concluded that it has no alternative but to ask its customers to bear the cost increase in order to ensure the stable supply of chloroprene rubber and the continuation of its business.
