| SSP and Mepha Jointly Develop Diclofenacnatrium-contained Poultice |

|
Tokyo, Nov 12, 2003 (JCN) - SS Pharmaceutical (TSE: 4537; hereafter SSP) announced on November 7 that, in collaboration with Swiss pharmaceutical company Mepha Ltd., it has started to market new poultice "Olfen Patch" in Switzerland.
Developed using SSP's proprietary drug delivery system, the new product contains diclofenacnatrium for the first time in pharmaceutical usage. SSP produces and exports the product to Mepha.
