Tokyo, Apr 8, 2004 (JCN) - Softbank Technology (TSE: 9984) has announced that it has formed an alliance with ChaosWare in development of Vector Stream Cipher (VSC) algorithm-based data encryption software products.
Under the terms of the agreement, Softbank Technology will provide its partner with support for the evaluation and commercialization of new encryption software. The stream cipher algorithm is ideally used for exchanging large volume data, such as medical radiographs and satellite images.
The companies look for the first-year sales of 100 million yen ($943,396).
