Tokyo, May 26, 2004 (JCN) - Fuji Chimera Research Institute (FCR) has published a report on the Japanese biometric security market. The report presents detailed forecasts of segments based on seven biometrics technologies: fingerprint, venous, iris, facial, voice, calligraphy, and hand geometry.
The report forecasts that Japan's biometrics market will dramatically grow 3.2-fold from 9,187 million yen ($82 mil) in 2003 to 29.5 billion yen ($263 mil) in 2010.
The 285-page report, available only in Japanese, retails for 101,850 yen ($909).
