Tokyo, Nov 30, 2004 (JCN) - Olympus Medical Systems (TSE: 7733) has announced that it has developed the High-Definition 3D Viewing System, a viewing system for three-dimensional endoscopes.
The new system, which consists of a 2D- and 3D-switchable endosope and a small high-definition display, provides clear and realistic endoscopic surgical images. The system helps reduce the eyestrain of operators.
The company will step up its drive to extend research in its efforts to develop practical applications.
