Tokyo, Feb 17, 2005 (JCN) - Olympus Medical Systems (TSE: 7733) has developed two DVD-RAM recorders for endoscopic images, EICP-D HDTV and EICP-D, and will put them on sale on February 21.
In combination with its proprietary endoscope EVIS LUCERA, the new products can electronically record, play back and search endoscopic images through simple procedures. The recorders store the images with patient information (ID, name, gender, birthdate, etc.) on a 4.7GB DVD-RAM disk.
The products are expected to contribute to providing highly efficient and reliable medical care.
