Rohto Pharmaceutical Survey Reveals Women Realize Skin Aging in 5-year Cycle
Tokyo, Mar 11, 2005 (JCN) - Rohto Pharmaceutical (TSE: 4527) announced on March 10 the results of its latest survey on women and skin conditions. The company conducted an Internet survey of 1,142 women aged 25 to 59, and 771 women interested in anti-aging.
Most of the respondents answered that they tend to realize the skin senescence every five years. Of them, 96.6% admitted that they are interested in anti-aging. Of such respondents, the majority have great interest.
By age, women in their late 20s are mainly concerned about pore-enlargement, dry skin and dullness, those in their 30s or later are worried about care blemish and wrinkles. Skin slackness emerges as another concern among women in their late 30s.
More than 50% of the respondents pointed out the lack of skin care, sunburns and stress as the causes of senescence, and about 70% combat with skin senescence by proactively taking countermeasures such as anti-aging skin care products or supplements.
