Toyota City, Japan, June 3, 2011 - (JCN Newswire) - Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa will hold a residency program to create and perform an original work from June 20 to 27, to be conducted by Yuuri Furuie, winner of the Next-generation Choreography Award of the Toyota Choreography Award 2010.
In addition, her award-winning production, "catch my BEAM", will be performed on August 5 and 6 at "Theatre Tram" in Tokyo, September 11 at the Museum of Art, Kochi and October 29 and 30 at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. The Toyota Choreography Award was launched in 2001 in collaboration with the Setagaya Public Theatre to promote dance and to discover and nurture choreographers who will lead the next generation. The award, given seven times since its inception, is just one aspect of TMC's social contribution activities.
