Kuraray to Expand PVB Film Manufacturing Facility in Germany
 

Tokyo, Mar 15, 2012 (JCN) - Kuraray Co. Ltd will expand its polyvinyl butyral (PVB) film manufacturing facilities in Troisdorf, Germany, in line with the increasing global demand for PVB films. The facility is being operated by wholly owned subsidiary Kuraray Europe GmbH.

PVB film is used for interlayer films in laminated safety glasses for automotive and construction applications.

Kuraray has initiated a feasibility study looking into the establishment of new PVB film facilities in India, in anticipation for rapid demand growth in Asia.
