Kenedix was founded in April 1995 as a subsidiary of Kennedy Wilson, Inc. (KWI), initially introducing and promoting real estate auctions to Japanese investors and financial institutions. Today, the Kenedix Group is an organization advanced in a broad range of real estate services and finance. The Group's overall goal is to maximize returns on investments, accomplished by leveraging the Group's comprehensive research skills and extensive knowledge of the real estate business to accurately analyze and evaluate trends in a constantly changing market. Kenedix is working to become one of Japan's most prominent real estate asset managers, while building a highly stable and profitable corporate group.
The Kenedix Group has three core businesses: Real Estate Investment Advisory, Asset Management, and Note Investment Management. We provide comprehensive services to investors (our clients) with respect to investments in real estate and real estate-backed notes. We earn various fees for these services, including acquisition fees, asset management fees, and incentive fees. We also make co-investments investments on our own account so as to align our interests with the interests of our investors.
The goals of management are to achieve high profitability through incentive fees and returns on minority co-investments the company makes, as well as to secure the stability of earnings through asset management fees, which are a consistent source of earnings. In this endeavor, we are working to expand the volume of business and enhance the quality of investment opportunities through our efforts to identify high-grade projects and the provision of investment services to our Investers.
