KDDI Corp's net profit for the fiscal third quarter was down 35 percent on year due to the introduction of discount packages for mobile phone handset users. NTT DoCoMo's revenues for its fiscal third quarter to December was down from 1.3 percent from a year earlier. Operating profit improved to 217.4 billion yen (US$2.4 billion), and net profit came in at 134.6 billion yen (US$1.5 billion).
