Tokyo, Oct 5, 2005 (JCN) - Hitachi and TransGenic jointly announced on October 3 that they have agreed to form a business alliance regarding support service for life science research and development.
Specifically, TransGenic will provide information accumulated in its proprietary Knockout Mice Library to Hitachi. Accordingly, Hitachi will conduct genomic and proteomics analysis and offer advanced and one-stop support services to companies and academic institutions.
Meanwhile, TransGenic aims to make effective use of its expertise in genetic research and expand its sales channels for its R&D support services.
