IIJ-Tech Launches Open Source E-mail Solution for Enterprise

Tokyo, Oct 10, 2006 (JCN) - Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ) today announced that its subsidiary IIJ Technology Inc. has launched iiMail, an open source e-mail system for mid- to large-sized corporations.

iiMail (pronounced 'e-mail') is an inexpensive e-mail solution that reduces operational overhead through Windows environment integration. Account management, e-mail server monitoring and other administrative functions are controlled via a user-friendly interface, eliminating the need for familiarity with UNIX or other systems.

iiMail is the latest solution in the IIJ Group's lineup, which includes IIJ Secure MX, an e-mail gateway service providing asset-less security functions, and IIJ Post Office, an e-mail hosting service.
