Bridgestone to Establish a Manufacturing and Export Company for Passenger Car Tires in Vietnam
Tokyo, Dec 16, 2011 (JCN) - Bridgestone Corporation today announced plans to establish the Bridgestone Tire Manufacturing Vietnam Limited Liability Company, a manufacturing and export sales company for radial tires for passenger cars (PSR), following its announcement on November 11 to build a new PSR plant in Vietnam.
The capital for the company will be US$ 307.8 million (approximately JPY 23.7 billion), and Bridgestone Corporation will have 100% ownership of the company. The company is planned to be established in February, 2012.
The Bridgestone Group will continue working to bolster its global supply capacity and build a system so that it can rapidly supply high-quality products to meet market demands.
