Tokyo, Dec 21, 2011 (JCN) - Asahi Glass Co. Ltd, ADEKA Corp. and Kaneka Corp. have announced that they will be withdrawing their capital investment from both Kashima Chlorine & Alkali Co. Ltd (Kashima Denkai) and Kashima Vinyl Chloride Monomer Co. Ltd (Kashima PVC Monomer) - their joint venture companies together with Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. Ltd, and Mitsubishi Chemical Corp.
Shin-Etsu Chemical and Mitsubishi Chemical, on the other hand, will continue their capital investment in both joint-venture companies, which, from now will be operated as a subsidiary company of Shin-Etsu Chemical.
The operation of the berth facilities, which is presently performed by Kashima Denkai, will be transferred to a new joint-venture company.
