ITOCHU Signs MOU on Russia Power Project

Tokyo, Nov 29, 2012 (JCN) - ITOCHU Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with En+ Group Limited for the Avtozavodskaya power project in Russia.

OJSC EuroSibEnergo, a subsidiary of En+, will construct a combined heat and power plant with a total power output of approximately 400MW at Nizhniy Novgorod in eastern Russia. A letter of intent has already been issued by EuroSibEnergo to use a gas turbine manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.

ITOCHU and Toyo Engineering Corporation, meanwhile, will jointly promote the construction contract for the project with EuroSibEnergo and, under the MOU, will collaborate on the construction of the project next year.
