Tokyo, Dec 18, 2012 (JCN) - Chiyoda Corporation announced that it had been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract by Aikawa Press Industry Co., Ltd for the "Aikawa Press Takane Plant Mega Solar" large-scale photovoltaic power generation system in Hokuto city, Yamanashi prefecture.
The system is designed to produce 1,800 kWp with approxinmately 12,000 modules, manufactured by Solar Frontier K.K., installed across 23,000 m2. Construction is scheduled to complete in March 2013.
This is the first large-scale solar project in the private sector in Yamanishi Prefecture. The ground-breaking ceremony took place on November 27, 2012.
