Marubeni Sub Marnix and UK's Cooper Gay Sign Insurance Agreement
Tokyo, Jan 17, 2013 (JCN) - Marubeni, through its 100% owned subsidiary, Marnix Corporation and Cooper Gay & Co. Ltd. have concluded a Business Cooperation Agreement. Cooper Gay is a core subsidiary of Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford Ltd. (CGSC) which is the largest independent wholesale and reinsurance broker.
The main purpose of Agreement is to enhance and expand the field of broking service of both Marnix and Cooper Gay in Treaty reinsurance business. Marnix currently provides the reinsurance broking service for Asian clients, mainly Japanese.
Marnix will enhance its treaty reinsurance broking function in the cooperation with Cooper Gay and utilize Cooper Gay's strong relationship with western (re)insurers.
CGSC has a strong business pipeline in North America, South America and Europe. CGSC will expand its business to Japan where the second largest non-life insurance markets exists and utilize Marnix's strong relationship with Japanese (re)insurers.
Cooper Gay is the core subsidiary of CGSC which is the largest insurance broking group in independent wholesale and reinsurance brokers and provides its services to mainly North America, South America and Europe.
London is the world center of insurance traditionally and many risks are underwritten in London markets, especially in Lloyd's of London. Cooper Gay has experienced and specialized staff and provides solutions to clients' specific risk and needs.
