Tokyo, May 1, 2002 (JCN) - The mobile Internet solution provider announced April 30 that it established a partnership with Beijing Huaxing Mobile Technology (MOEASY), a Beijing-based content provider and subsidiary of NASDAQ company chinadotcom corporation. Under terms of the partnership, Cybird began webcasting its original short messaging service (SMS) content on a fee basis in China on April 8.
The partners use MOEASY's SMS charge system to distribute a localized version of Cybird's entertainment SMS content to China Mobile subscribers. China Mobile is China's largest cellular operator, and holds a 90% share of the Chinese cellphone market that has more than 150 million subscribers.
