Tokyo, Dec 5, 2011 - (JCN Newswire) - TDK Corporation today announced that it will collaborate with Toshiba Corporation in creating a huge Christmas scene on their LED displays on One Times Square building in New York's Times Square.
The collaboration will feature a digital image of a 40-meter high festive Christmas tree almost 120 meters above the streets below. This traditional and much loved image will decorate the winter sky and set the mood for the Christmas and New Year season from December 5, 2011 to January 15, 2012.
Since 2001, TDK has utilized LED signage on the One Times Square Building to conduct various promotions designed to enhance its corporate brand. Last year, TDK's LED sign was completely redesigned in an effort to boost its brand image as an electronic components manufacturer. By linking the two companies' LED signage this year, TDK and Toshiba aim to complement the festive Christmas season atmosphere with a more dynamic display, while promoting their respective corporate brands.
