Toyota City, Japan, Sept 5, 2012 - (JCN Newswire) - Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) announces the publication today of its "Sustainability Report 2012"(1), which outlines TMC's environmental, social and corporate governance activities conducted primarily during fiscal year 2011(2) and the concepts and policies that serve as their foundation.
TMC issues the report every year to disclose information to the public, share information with consolidated companies and business partners, and support the management and assessment of TMC's corporate social responsibility initiatives. The report is available in a full and Key Messages version, with a Separate Volume: Environment Facts & Figures section(3).
The report focuses on the Toyota Global Vision announced in March 2011 and its three key elements: always better cars, enriching lives of communities, and stable base of business. Each element is addressed in-depth with key messages, special features (such as "Aqua", "Contributing to the Realization of a Low-carbon Society", and "Monozukuri is about Developing People") as well as example initiatives and detailed data. Also introduced are leading key-performance indicators as well as a section describing initiatives aimed at the restoration of areas affected by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake entitled, "Creating the Future of Japan Together from Tohoku".
