The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan Appoints Andrew Lambert Executive Director

Tokyo, May 9, 2014 - (JCN Newswire) - The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (CCCJ) today announces the appointment of Andrew Lambert as its Executive Director.

In this role, Andrew oversees the day-to-day workings of the Chamber, under the guidance of the CCCJ Board of Governors, Honorary Board of Advisors, and its various committees, supporting the interests of Canadian companies in Japan and Japanese companies in Canada.

CCCJ Chair Wilf Wakely said, "With the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, ongoing EPA and TPP talks, and developments surrounding LNG and natural resources, this is an exciting time for the Canada - Japan relationship. As our Chamber continues to grow, we welcome Andrew to our team, and look forward to his driving our Chamber to the next stage in its development."

A fluent Japanese speaker, Andrew has lived in Japan for ten years, assisting foreign companies to access the Japanese market and Japanese those overseas - particularly in the food and beverage and agriculture and fisheries sectors.

Andrew earned his Master of Arts at the University of British Columbia Asia Pacific Policy Studies program (MAAPPS), focused on Japan's relations with the Koreas and China. He secured his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Western Ontario, and spent a year in Koriyama City, Fukushima prefecture, on the JET programme.
