Mazda: Organizational and Personnel Changes

Tokyo, July 1, 2014 - (JCN Newswire) - Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the following organizational changes, effective July 1, 2014.

1. Organizational Changes

(1) Changes in the area of Products

Goals

- To enhance planning of the basic vehicle structure in the development of next-generation vehicles and enable company-wide direction and coordination from the point of view of the entire vehicle. Also, to realize efficient product development by enhancing the materialization of basic vehicle design.

Details of organizational changes

- The new Architecture Design Department is established within the Product Division and takes on the architecture design functions of the Product Planning Department.

(2) Changes in the area of Global Sales & Marketing

Goals

- To enhance command and control for the further acceleration of sales and marketing activities in Oceania.

Details of organizational changes

- The function of supporting Oceania markets is transferred from the Division to the European Market Operation Department, which has been renamed the European/Oceania Markets Operation Department.

(3) Changes in the area of Customer Service

Goals

- To enhance functions for promoting strategies and policies for market activities related to customer care.

Details of organizational changes

- Customer Service Marketing Department has been renamed Customer Service Field Operations Department.
